Kathleen James-Chakraborty – SAH Connects webinar

House Beautiful was presented as an example of the way in which women were trained to be consumers of architecture and design and as a publication which also showcased the work of female architects, landscape architects, and designers, while publishing many articles authored by women.  The lecture also touched upon the periodical’s key role in introducing women in the United States to European modernism.
